The whole group of His Royal Highness King Birendra was gunned down amid a family get-together at the Royal Palace in Kathmandu. BBC and CNN reported that nine individuals from the Royal Family including King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya, their kids, Prince Nirajan and Princess Shruti, most youthful sibling of the King, Prince Dhirendra, two sisters of the King, Princess Jayanti and Sharada, and both their spouses had been slaughtered, supposedly by the King's most established child, Crown Prince Dipendra, who lay in a trance like state in Chaunni Military Hospital, subsequent to turning on the weapon on himself in an obvious homicide suicide. The reason given? Over a debate about the Crown Prince's decision of a spouse.
